Our Love Story

I know this is a bit soppy but as it's Valentine's day I think I can be excused.

I want you to meet my husband. My soulmate, my best friend, my support system, my life coach, and lover all rolled into one.

I give you Mr C.

We met at school and used to hang out with our friends at the local park. We became an item when we were 15 and have been together ever since apart from a little 'blip' around the age of 20. We have two beautiful children, Tom and Emily, who are our life. They are now teenagers and it's been an amazing journey watching them develop and grow into wonderful individuals, both so very different, a journey that continues every day, taking them into adulthood and off on their very own journey through life.

Nick and I have literally grown up together. We've had our up's and down's just like anyone, but he is always there for me no matter what, and we blend together so perfectly it's ridiculous. It scares me sometimes how we know exactly what the other is thinking, and the same sentences come out of our mouths at exactly the same time!! He does everything for me and says it's his job to look after me.

I like to watch him sleep. He looks so gorgeous and peaceful , I could watch him all night, although he does have this bad twitching habit that makes me laugh. I watch him and feel like my heart skips a beat and I always get such a warm fuzzy feeling, still finding it hard to believe that he's mine. It an amazing thing to feel like that after all these years together.

He is an amazingly upbeat person, always happy, and always singing or whistling (the whistling drives me mad by the way). He lifts me up when I have a bad day, or am suffering with my daily aches and pains. His hugs are like medicine as they make me feel instantly better.

Nick is the most happiest, and most generous person I know. He would do anything for anyone. He is an amazing dad, an amazing friend and thats why everyone loves him.

We say those three little words all the time. I never get tired of hearing I love you, at the end of a phone call, every night before we go to sleep or just because we want to say it. Sometimes I am unable to put into words the love that I feel for this man. I hope I have managed it today.

I feel so blessed that you have chosen me to walk with you on this path through life and I love you with all my heart.

I LOVE YOU
Your forever Valentine
Mrs C
