Bistro Live

Saturday night we were invited out for a night of dancing on the tables and for those that know me understand I would never, ever turn down an opportunity to dance the night away.

Dancing shoes at the ready!

The venue was a place called Bistro Live. They have three locations in the UK. We've been a few times before and always had a really great night. The price (£35-40 per person) includes a 3 course meal, live band and then a disco to finish the night off. Three jugs of cocktails were also thrown in, although not very strong cocktails but hey when it's free!
Considering the amount of people they cater for during that night they do really well with the food. You don't have to choose until you get there and there are quite a few options for each course.

We didn't take any pics of the starter or main course (too busy eating) so lets go straight to dessert!
Cheesecake, pavlova and brownie!
There were a few people celebrating birthdays that night including two of our lovely ladies and they all got a little cake each!
You don't have to fight to get drinks at a bar here. To order drinks you just wave your chequered flag in the air and your dedicated waiter comes running. That's all well and good when you're sober but when you've had a few glasses of the old grape juice the flags are being waved around all over the shop along to the music the poor waiters think you want a drink every five minutes!! Mr C would not put the flag down, it was his prop for the night.
Now at Bistro Live they actually encourage you to get up and dance on the tables!!! They whip the table cloths off, put everyone's drinks into a metal container that attaches to the end of your table and up ya get! Don't worry the tables and chairs are very sturdy. It's funny, when you're up on the table, shaking your bootie and  some of the people are still on their chairs looking up at you, it feels a bit like you're dancing in some club!!! Strangely liberating though.

Even these old ladies were up for it!!
There was quite a large party of them all there on a very different kind of hen night! All buttoned up blouses, cardigans and headscarves. Not your usual tutu skirts, feather boas and L plates! We were thinking, well the men were, that at some point during the night they were going to rip off their granny clothes to reveal the proper hens underneath but no, they stayed in character all  night right till the very end and were really good fun. I know I would NOT dance the night away in a pair of hush puppies for no bride!!!!

Sarah and Robyn, the birthday girls, centre and right.
Bistro Live is a great venue that cater for Hen parties, Christmas parties, Birthdays and Corporate events. I will also point out that you don't HAVE to dance on the tables, they also have a dance floor for the more reserved folk. Click here to find out more about the venue.

The staff are always extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a memorable evening, wanting to come back for more.

We all partied on down until 1am and then made our way home to rest our tired and weary feet, gutted at the fact we were about to loose an hours sleep!

Thanks Bistro Live for a wonderful night.

You would love it. I still have to wear killer heels even when dancing precariously on top of a table! x
