Let me introduce my daughter.

I'd like you to introduce you to my beautiful daughter Emily. I can't believe she turned 17 in March this year. Wow where did all those years go?

Want to know a little bit about her? Of course you do. Emily is currently studying dance, drama and media at sixth form college and loves it. She danced from a young age, you know the usual ballet, tap, modern etc etc, but stopped that at 16 as she joined two local amateur theatre groups, something had to give, she just couldn't fit everything in! Emily is not 100% sure yet what she wants to do when she finishes college, but then did any of us? Maybe university, maybe not, may want to study to be a drama/dance teacher, maybe not, but one thing she does know is that that's her calling and ya know what? She'll succeed cos she's good at it.

Let me tell you, Emily is a beautiful girl, inside and out. Her amazing personality and warmth shines through, and everyone loves her. I have to be honest here and say she gets the personality side of things from her dad, outgoing, can chat to anyone, kind and generous to a fault, just like her dad.  I know she has some bits of me in there somewhere, maybe the looks?????? Mmmm...don't answer that!

Anyway, Emily is making her debut appearance on my blog as we are going to be working together right here. I've tried to encourage Em to write her own blog about her exciting goings on but as she says in her own words, she's no good at writing (neither am I really and neither of us ever enjoyed English) and would be rubbish, so we've decided to collaborate every now and then on my blog for you guys out there. We'll be doing posts on health, beauty, fashion and really anything that crops up and is worth a natter about.

I had Em when I was 27 (that makes me 45 now, I don't mind you all knowing, I'm not one of these woman that don't like to disclose their age! ) and I like being a youngish mum to a teenage daughter as we share make up and clothes. Well, she shares more of mine than the other way round but never mind, and I like to think we have a close bond. Hey, don't get me wrong it's not rosy all the time, we do clash every now and then over things, especially at THAT time of the month!

I don't know if there are any other mother and daughter combos out there but were gonna give it a go and see if it works. Hey, you never know you may also see us on You tube, wouldn't that be funny at my age! Or am I too old? (Em will tell you that I act as though I'm still in my twenties a lot of the time!)

Drop your thoughts on that in the comments box, Em and I would love to hear from you and we'll see you very soon.

Fingers crossed it will go down well. I think it may be interesting to share the opinions on things from both the younger and older generation!

  5. Hey Heather it's Em. Thanks for the comment! Drama is my favourite subject ever, so I won't be giving it up any time soon. Just so difficult to get into career wise unfortunately! Look forward to our comments on future posts x
