New scent on the block || The Body Shop Italian summer fig

The Body Shop perfume Italian summer fig

Hi lovlies. Hope you're all having a great week so far? I want to tell you about, no, actually shout about, a new fragrance from The Body Shop. Say hello to Italian Summer fig. I am going to be doused in this fragrance for the rest of summer. Ok, so perhaps we haven't even had a summer yet, is it on the way? Who knows, but wearing this makes me feel like it is summer, so that'll have to do for now. I love The Body Shop and their products just get better and better, although I will admit I've not been a wearer of their fragrances since my teenage years when the smell of White musk filled my bedroom and I got through crate loads of the stuff before heading off to the roller disco. Ahh......teenage memories of long, long ago.

The minute I got an email advertising Italian summer fig I knew I would like it. I've had a sniff of all the fragrances in store and sadly not fallen in love with any of them, until now. As far as I'm concerned this is THE best Body Shop perfume EVER. The lovely lady in store was telling me that the existing fragrance collection still remains but the bottles have been re-desinged and then this new eau de toilette added. I think the launch and re-design is very clever, all brands have to move with the times otherwise they remain stagnant, the packaging is eye catching and the bottle will certainly look good on anyones dressing table.

So what's it like? Well, figs say sweet to me, but this scent is light, refreshing and uplifting and not sickly sweet at all like some fragrances can be. Apparently, they say it is lusciously sweet with a nutty composition, notes of grape leaf, tuscan rose, fresh amber and is fresh green and fruity. The scent certainly does evoke feelings of summer and lying on the sun soaked shores of Italy. I am addicted to this fragrance, seriously, and will be using it on a daily basis. Sounds ridiculous but I can't stop smelling myself. I'm already thinking about buying another bottle, despite only just starting to use this one, but I do not want to be in a position where I've run out!

I love the fragrance (can you tell?) and I love the new bottles, so a big round of applause to The Body shop. The 30ml bottle is priced £18 so great value, although at the rate I'm going mine will only last 5 minutes!

I'm off for another squirt now! You think I'm joking...... I kid you not.

Do you fancy trying Italian Summer fig? Do you like the new bottles?

  2. I have several of The Body Shop's fragrances and love them, although they're not the longest lasting. I'm not sure how I feel about the new bottles but I do love the design of that box x

  3. I'll be honest it's been ages since I've worn a Body Shop fragrance but I do hear them coming up more and more. The bottle looks lovely and as i am a bit of a perfume addict and sniff test next time I'm passing wouldn't hurt!

  4. As soon as I saw they were bringing out this scent I knew it'd be lovely! I do like a few of their other scents but this is on another level. It's really hard to find a good fig fragrance in this price bracket. Annoyingly for me, I've just shelled out £55 for the Diptyque Philosykos perfume, which is really similar to this one!

    1. You are so right Kirstie about this being on another level. I'm not a fan of their other ones but adore this, I can't get enough of it! I'm glad to hear it's similar to the expensive Diptyque one, yay!! xx
