Best of BECCA blushed radiance kit review || Beauty

BECCA review Flowergirl blusher highlighter QVC Backlight priming filter

I dipped my toe into the world of BECCA cosmetics late last year. They're known for their highlighters aren't they and every Tom, Dick and Harry was talking about champagne pop so I took the plunge, ordered it all the way from the states, and I was hooked! Then a few weeks back I bought the TILI beauty box which had the BECCA backlight priming filter in it and I fell in love with that too, so, when my friend Sarah told me about yet another offer on QVC I knew I had to have it. That's the reason I love QVC so much, you can try anything, all the make up and if you don't like it you can send it back within 30 days. You can't say fairer than that can you?

This little box of goodies is fabulous. They're all small trial sizes, a try-me kit, before you splash the cash on the regular sizes.

It includes

Pressed opal shimmering skin perfector
Flowerchild mineral blush
Moonstone shimmering skin perfector with spotlight wand
Backlight priming filter

So as you can see I got another backlight priming filter to add to the first. Please note I will be buying the full size of this when I run out of the two minis versions that I have. It's extremely lightweight, provides a nice smooth canvas and gives your skin a natural luminosity and radiance.

The moonstone skin perfector is a liquid highlighter with a wand applicator. I adore this one and use it on my brow bone and sometimes the inner corners of my eyes. So easy to use with the wand and makes targeting certain areas a lot easier. I prefer this one for the bridge of my nose too as the powder one sits in my pores a bit.

The opal shimmering perfector is the powder formulation, finely milled, quite creamy, and velvety on the skin. It's pearlised, but golden in colour and gives just the right amount of highlight for me. Some people think it's quite pigmented and to go steady but I don't find that at all, it builds really easily and I apply and buff into the skin to avoid it sitting in my *big open* pores too much.

Now lets talk about Flowerchild. I don't think I've ever loved a beauty product so much. I've been very tempted to pick up the Nars orgasm blush in the past but I'm so glad I didn't. When I tried it out in Sephora I found orgasm to be way too 'sparkly' for me, and although this still has some warm gold shimmer running through it, it's less out there, for me anyway.

Flowerchild is fairly natural shade but super pigmented and you really do need a light hand with this one, trust me you will end up looking like Coco the Clown if you don't take my advice! Again, it's finely milled and goes on so smoothly without much need for blending at all. It's a peachy-pink and I think most skin tones could wear this shade. Hey, it's also packed with micro-fine minerals and antioxidants so it's a winner all round.

These photos do not do these products any justice at all and for that I apologise. I had to get these photos done and on the day had camera and lighting problems so I've had to work with what I've got. Oh and yeah the markings on the blusher? Well, I couldn't wait to try this out the minute it arrived, not even for you guys, so sorry, those are my eager brush marks you see there!!!!

You can still get the radiance set from QVC at the price of £28 if you fancy giving these a try.

Have you already tried any of these BECCA products?

  3. Great review Stephanie. I'd seen this on QVC but I'm seriously tempted now as I'm also loving the backlight filter primer.
