We all want those full, arched, defined eyebrows don't we? Well, I certainly do and there are so many products out there now to help us achieve the look we're going for. With brands galore offering powers, pencils, wax, fibres, there's something to suit everyone. I've tried lots of different products but not fibres so when Toppik got in touch to ask if I wanted to try their brow fibres I jumped at the chance. It was hard for me to choose between dark brown or medium because mine are sort of in between but I opted for the dark brown as I didn't want the medium to end up too light and look a bit odd.

The Toppik brow building fibres* comes as a three piece kit (2 pots that stack and 1 dual ended brush) to help give you full, natural looking brows in minutes. The wax is made with mango, shea and cocoa butters to help nourish the skin and brow follicles and the fibres are made of coloured keratin protein, the same type of protein that is found in your hair and they have a natural static charge that helps bind the fibres to your hair making them look more natural.

Step 1 is to use the angled side of the brush to apply the conditioning wax to the brow defining the shape you want to achieve with the fibres. I find it's best to put plenty on so the fibres adhere a little better.

Step 2 is applying the fibres. I made the mistake of tapping some of the fibres into the lid of the pot as it was the easiest thing to do, picking them up with the brush from there but when you've finished the lid then screws back on top of the wax leaving stray fibres to drop into the wax!! Not good. Trying to shake some out to sit in the top of the pot is a little tricky so I find it easier to put some of the fibres onto a piece of tissue and pick them up from there.

Once the wax has been applied you then dip the rounded end of the brush into the fibres and dab them on the waxed area, building up the fibres and filling in any sparse areas until you've created the brow shape and fullness you want. It's that simple!

I can say that the fibres give you fuller brows and really do look natural. The only thing for me is that I won't use them in the day as I'm often in a rush, quickly doing my brows with a pencil and these do take a little bit longer. I'll save these for when I have a little more time to spend on my makeup.

  1. I've never tried brown building fibres before but I think I might have to! I'm fed up of trying to do my eyebrows and them just looking too square at the ends! Great post, will make sure to use a tissue to! Xxx
