Well, it's been a few months now since I had my Coolsculpting treatment* at Hampton Clinic and I promised you I would show you my final results with before and after pics. I had the treatment in May and they say it takes a good three months to see the final results.

So, the heatwave continues in the UK. Can you believe it?! The summer we're having is kind of off the scale. I mean, I've not slept properly for what feels like weeks and have the urge to sit in the freezer every half hour, but I wouldn't change it, and long may it continue. Let's all pray to the sunshine gods! Although, I have to put my hands up and say I've done barely any housework since the temperatures sky rocketed, it's just too hot to do anything, to move even! Empty the dishwasher, have to have a sit down. Make a cuppa, have a sit down. Take out the rubbish, have a sit down. And as for the ironing. FORGET IT. #melting

I was a little unsure of how to bring this post to you and style this lingerie set that was very kindly gifted to me by Playtex*. A flat lay was what first came to mind but then I thought that doesn't actually bring the lingerie to life so you can see it properly does it? Having just turned 49 I wasn't sure either that I should be flaunting myself all over the internet [again] in my bra and knickers but then I thought, I've done it before when I wrote the post about feeling sexy in your forties, okay not so much belly on show in that one, so what the hell, might as well do it again, in for a penny..........

Aldi Diptyque dupes

Aldi have done it again! This time with dupes of Diptyque favourites. Home fragrance with similar scents to the luxury brand. I shared my thoughts on their previous 'Jo Malone dupe' range right here. It did whip everyone up into a bit of a frenzy and it seemed like the whole world went totally mad for them, including me, I bet you got some too didn't you? The Cult Beauty Box by Lydia Elise Millen | Review

You know I love skincare right? So I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the beauty box that Lydia created with Cult beauty. It wasn't cheap, I mean it was a bargain compared to buying all the products separately, they came to around £300, but £155 is not something you can just whip out your purse, I can't anyway! When I saw Lydia's Youtube video my immediate thoughts were "I have to have it" but I didn't just jump in. I debated long and hard about whether I should get it or not, and when release day came around it was a big YES! I made the decision based on the fact that I'd really wanted to try two of the products for a long time and those two alone came to £106 so it was a no brainer really.

Hey! I said I'd show you this H&M lace blouse in more detail, so here it is with exciting news too! I wore it for Emily's 21st birthday celebrations the other night so you may have seen it on my Insta stories. Emily just wanted to go out for a meal with the family on her actual birthday, the Thursday night, as her lovely boyfriend had planned a surprise weekend away. Sounds easy to organise you might think, hell no, we have a rather large family, 43 of us to be exact [and that's not all of us] went out for a bite to eat. Thing is there aren't many places that can accommodate that many people all together; most can take around 20 at best! Anyway, we came up trumps with a local [and stunning] hotel, Rothley Court, who booked us into their private dining area. They dressed the room and tables beautifully for us and the staff were so attentive. Emily was so, so happy and had the best night with all the people she loves the most.

Yes, this is a fashion post but I feel the need to tell you how we got to this location. Bear with me. Last weekend we played tourist in our own city. When I say tourist, I mean we went along to the Cathedral, we've never been despite living in Leicester our whole life, paid our respects to Richard III, got a bite to eat and had cocktails. We didn't plan any of this which was the nice thing, it just happened. We have a small town close by and that's generally where we'll go if we need anything, only going into the main city centre if we have to. Well, last Saturday we had to, to get some glasses for Nick, he needs glasses for driving, TV and reading, yep it's an age thing, and on the way back to the car Nick suggested we get some lunch somewhere.

Visiting Stratford Upon Avon || Things to do

It's coming up to that time of year [spring and lighter nights rapidly approaching] when we all start to think about little day trips or weekends away so I thought now would be a good time to share our day out in Stratford Upon Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. We actually went at the end of September last year but I never got round to posting these. We sadly couldn't stay overnight so a day trip it was but we made the most of it and even though it was nearly October we had glorious weather! I'll warn you now this one's a bit picture heavy! 

Why you need a silk pillowcase in your life

You know I love all thing beauty and by now you'll probably know that I'm a sucker for any creams, lotion, potions or gadget that claims to make me look even a little bit better. Not many products live up to the job or deliver on their promises, although they've got their work cut out with my skin admittedly! Most mornings I wake up looking like Worzel Gummidge, only with more wrinkles, and like my face could do with a good iron!! For those not familiar with Worzel Gummidge you'll find him on Google! Good old Google eh?

Tips to unwind, pamper and sleep better

I don't know about you but for me January sometimes feels like the gloomiest month of the year. Wet, miserable days and darks nights [bloggers nightmare] can leave you feeling a bit low and miserable can't it? The weather definitely affects my mood. On top of that I don't sleep well at all and it's not a good combination, just ask Mr C!! :) Fear not though, we're coming out the other side now.

For my first post of 2018 I thought I'd share some love and introduce you to some fabulous women from the blogosphere that I follow and that inspire me all the time. I personally find it so easy to get disheartened and downbeat about my blog, often thinking about giving it all up, more so the latter part of last year when I felt my heart just wasn't fully in it (for various reasons) but I see theses ladies and they make me want to carry on.
