I have to tell you about my love for this cleanser. Back in May when we were going on holiday to Spain I realised I had run out of my regular cleanser that I use for my first cleanse. We were only taking hand luggage and knew I could only take a small pot or tube anyway so when passing my local LUSH store I popped in. I'm going to hold my hands up here and tell you I was being real sneaky because all I wanted was for them to give me a tester pot with a cleanser in it as I knew that would get me by the week I was away and I'd sort a new cleanser when I got back. I had no intention of buying a cleanser from LUSH that day. Bad I know, but look, you know I pride myself on honesty on this blog! However LUSH came good in the end and I redeemed myself because I fell in love with it and after I got back from my holiday I went and got the small size and I have just in fact repurchased for a second time with the larger size. That's the thing with LUSH, they're always more than happy to give out samples which is just the best, it's great to find out what works for you without wasting your hard earned cash.
Ultrabland is a simple facial cleanser. Made with almond oil, rose water, beeswax and honey it removes all traces of dirt and makeup with stripping your skin and it's ideal for all skin types. I love the consistency of this, a thick cream that feels luxurious. I like to give a good massage with this one, remove it with a muslin cloth, then follow with my second cleanse. It takes off make up so well, it just melts it away. You'd probably think being an oil based cleanser it would leave your skin greasy but it doesn't as long as you remove it all properly. I really am not a fan of wash off cleaners so that was my reason for choosing Ultrabland. That, and the fact it removes my eye makeup too. It does a fabulous job of removing my mascara as it has the almond oil in it, no pulling and rubbing my lashes.
Whilst we're on the subject of lashes I SWEAR (even underlined it!) this has made my eyelashes grow. I've always had very long eyelashes (everyone used to ask if they were false) but as I've gotten older I've found they're not growing like they used to, to the point where I've been considering getting one of those products you paint on to boost growth. I don't need one of those anymore. My lashes look healthier and are most definitely longer and I'm positive it's all down to Ultrabland. The oil is obviously nourishing the eyelashes and giving them the boost they need. So, the best value ever as it turns out to be a two in one product for me. I'm not making any bold claims here, let's just point that out, it just happens to have made my eyelashes grow!
If you're in the market for a new cleanser, give this one a go. Pop in a get a sample :)
Are you a LUSH fan? What's your favourite product?
I've heard about this cleanser before, I'd love to give it a try especially if you think it helps nourish lashes too! Great idea with the samples too, best to know if you like it before you commit. Great post!
