What's in my Glamour Beauty Power list box

This is my second Glamour beauty box from Latest In Beauty and I was just as excited to receive it as I was the first one. Let's lift the lid and look inside.

Just look at those little beauties!
Glamour Beauty Box Bourjois Makeup
Let's begin.

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence: I was excited to try this to be honest as I use straighteners on my hair quite a lot, like everyday a lot at the mo! For some reason my hair is a tad straw like somedays, not quite Worzel Gummidge look-a-likey (for those old enough to remember him!) but I certainly need help at the mo and Philip came to the rescue. Or did he?
Well, for fine hair, which mine is, it says to spray through the mid lengths and ends, not the top, although not sure why. I've tried this a few times now and it's supposed to help with breakage, offer heat protection and condition the hair. I suffer with a lot of breakage at the top of the hair shaft not the ends so not really noticed if it helps with this area. I have noticed that my hair is definitely conditioned that's for sure, it feels so lovely and soft after I've used it. Will I buy it again?  Not sure that I will as I need a product that offers all of these things and I can use all over my head! Any recommendations gratefully received so please leave in the comments box. Ta.

Liz Earle hot cloth cleanse and polish: I think I can safely say this product needs little to no explanation. Everyone's heard of the cleanse and polish haven't they? This one is not new to me. I've used it on and off for years. In fact I think I purchased my first one not long after Liz started off on QVC all those years ago. It removes all make-up and leaves you with squeaky clean skin. Works on everyone, every age, every skin type. If you haven't tried this yet, then do so, you won't regret it. It does what it says on the tin.

Bourjois volume 1 seconde mascara: I think I'm a bit late to the party with this mascara, I'm sure everyone's tried it but me! Anyway, you may know from previous posts that I am totally in love with, and faithful to Lancome's definicil mascara, and no other has yet changed my mind. I tried this and wanted to love it but the romance didn't happen. I love the formula of the mascara itself, it lengthened and added volume but didn't get on with the wand, for me it's just too fat! I like a thinner brush or even if it was tapered it would be better. Emily soon stepped in to try it, loved it, and hey presto it's in her make up bag. Em has even longer lashes than me and every time I see her lashes I am amazed and it's all thanks to Bourjois.

Laura Mercier foundation primer: Out of everything in the box this was what I was looking forward to trying the most. And I did straight away! Let's just say I'm not bowled over but then I think I expect too much of a primer. I was hoping for flawless skin and not having to touch up at all throughout the day but that wasn't the case. Touchup's required and I couldn't actually see that it made much difference to my makeup. I know it doesn't promise flawless skin on the tube but I expected to notice something!!! Having said all of this I do need a lot of work when I get up in the morning and some days my face needs a miracle, so perhaps I'll give this another go on a day when I'm feeling at least a little bit alive!!!!

Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick in Nude: This item was a case of "Now you see it, now you don't". As soon as Em saw it, it was gone, never to be seen again. It'll be somewhere in the depths of her makeup bag along with the last nude lipstick that came in my last box, that she also had! Ok, so a nude lipstick does suit her better, so nothing more to be said really. Oh hold on, Em would to add her bit: It's nice and creamy. Thanks babe.

Eyeko eye makeup remover wipes: Yeah, another product I liked. These really are quick and easy to use and take of my mascara so easily, they also help to soothe and nourish at the same time. They remove waterproof mascara too but I can't vouch for that as I don't wear it. The only thing I found is that because they contain an oil I woke with a tiny trace of black under my eye, looking a bit panda like, but that was no problem for me. I don't mean no problem looking like a panda, no one wants to look like a panda in the morning, I mean no problem removing the last little trace, Oh never mind. Emily tried these but they were a definite no-no for her. She didn't like the texture or the oiliness.
James Read sleep mask tan: Not gonna lie and tell you this is fabulous as I haven't tried this yet! Sorry. I'm not sure why this is different to any other self tan but it say's it's full of goodness for your skin as well as giving you a healthy glow, so it's gotta be good, right? And another good thing is that when I tried it on my hand there wasn't the slightest whiff of that self tan biscuit-y smell. Another bonus. Well, I promise I'll try it and report back.
So that's all folks! I've shown you everything. I've not been as thrilled with some of the items in this box, as I was the last one, and you're just not going to love everything single thing in every single box. That's the beauty of these, in that the products are mostly smaller sizes (although not always) and it gives you a great opportunity to try so many different products at a fraction of the cost, so keep um coming, they're amazing value. And just to remind you guys, there's no monthly subscription, you just order as and when you want one. Great hey? Click here to see what Latest In Beauty have to offer right now.

What's your favourite beauty box? Or whatever type of box actually, I'm always looking for new things to try so please let me know.
