Lush Leicester || Blogger sneak peek

Are you prepared for a Lush overload? Of course you are. We're all Lush lovers, right? If you're not there's something terribly wrong with your brain! Although I'm still fairly new to Lush if I'm honest. Anyway, last Thursday I was invited along to our local Lush store with a bunch of lovely bloggers to have a sneak peek at some of their new products. I'd not met any of the other local bloggers before and I know they're a fairly young bunch, so wasn't sure I'd 'fit' in, but there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity.

I'm just sorry scratch and sniff computer screens haven't yet been invented, mind you, your senses would go into over-drive with this lot, I know mine did on the night.

The store was busier than I'd expected, but there was a lovely friendly atmosphere, with drinks and the most deliciously tempting cupcakes. I was forced to eat one! Ok, ok, maybe two! The staff were their usual helpful self and nothing was too much trouble.

That little slab of white icing describes these cupcakes perfectly.

This event was to showcase some of the new summer range, mostly bath and body before it goes on sale to the general public. I have it on good authority that the haircare range will be launched shortly too. So, without further ado, here they are.

Couple of newbies in this shot plus my favourite, the comforter bubble bar right there on the right. I'm not a massive bath person, more of a shower girl but I can't get enough of this blackcurrenty fragrance so it's in there when I have the odd bath.

I'm sure this is Intergalactic in the bowl below, my ears and eyes were all over the shop, so wasn't totally concentrating on what she was saying, so you'll have to forgive me. Don't you just want dive into that galaxy of colour? It looks like some kind of mystical planet doesn't it?

Indulge your senses with the new Experimenter which contains fair trade vanilla absolute, lay back and relax in a rainbow of bright colours.

On to this cutie. Pink Flamingo. Dunk him head first in the bath, swish him about a bit and them keep him somewhere safe for the next time. He's full of fragrant rosewood, sexy ylang ylang and macadamia nut oil to help your skin stay nice and soft.

I didn't think it would be long before we had a Frozen bath bomb! If you've had a bad day this one will melt the iciest of moods with uplifting neroli and rose oil. It does have a tiny amount of glitter to help brighten up your day but to be honest I don't do sparkle in my bath. I do it everywhere else, just not on my skin! Boring I know.

Milky bath. Although this one has a slightly glittery bottle top made with cocoa butter I think I'd like to try this one, despite what I've just said above. It sounds totally heavenly and was told it has quite a subtle fragrance. I have visions of grandeur sitting in my bath of skimmed milk all Cleopatra-like!!!!

There are a couple of new shower products too that got my attention. Yuzu and Cocoa, chocolate orange in a bottle, get it on your shopping list. Just do it. And then one that made me actually jump for joy on the spot. They've only gone and liquified the comforter, remember it's my fave, into a shower cream and put it in a bottle!!!!! Day made.

Hey, couldn't we all do with go faster feet

Lots of us got down and dirty making our own comforter bubble bar. I was chuffed when they said we could go upstairs and have a go at making our own, I did a little squeal inside when I saw it was the ingredients for the comforter, actually you could smell it as you walked up the stairs. It's my absolute favourite product, oops may have said that already, so perhaps I did let out a slightly audible squeal!

I could have stayed up there all night just breathing in that aroma.

There's my attempt in the middle. I would just like a job making comforters all day please, but based on my finished article I don't think Lush will be offering me a job any time soon! Shame.

Some of the other lovely bloggers, Kirstie, Steph and Emma. As you can see they wasted no time in grabbing a basket to fill! I also met Nancy, Hollie, and Laura. Hope I've not missed anyone. As for that fitting in thing I mentioned at the beginning, no problem. Yes they're a young bunch, but they're all so friendly and we even went for a drink after. When's the next event please?

Of course I made some purchases on the night, which may or may not have included something new and blackcurrenty in a bottle, amongst others things, but I'll tell you about them in another post, this one's already a rather long one and I've got a lot of items to show you as I received them all in a very generous goodie bag when I left.

It just leaves me to say a massive thank you to Lush for inviting me along and for such a delightful evening.

Do you like the look of the new products? Whats your current Lush favourite?

Don't forget to follow along on Bloglovin too.
