Essie Allure

I wanted to get myself a new nail colour and had in my mind I wanted a white shade. White's all in isn't it right now, along with the pastels. So off I went to Boots.


I've not tried essie nail colours before but seen it on lots of hands, well nails, not hands, recently so thought I'd give it a go. I was torn bewteen Allure, which I thought looked fairly white and Fiji, which looked slightly pinky. I opted for Allure.

It certainly is not the white I thought it was going to be from the bottle and one coat was no good as it was so sheer and looked more like a clear-ish colour. I had to apply 3 coats to get it to what it is in the above pic. I do like natural shades so I will definately use it again.

When I was applying my 2nd coat I only went and smudged one bloomin nail didn't I. Gutted. But never fear, Carly from the fabulous Carly's Beauty World was around to help. I was browsing her blog the other day and came across a post on nail polish troubleshooting. So what did I do? I licked my finger and smoothed it down, that's what. It worked and looked ever so nearly good as new! Thanks Carly. You should all head on over to Carly's Beauty World right now! I said so. 

Nail polish doesn't last awfully long on my nails but after road testing essie I'll get back to you to let you know how it faired.
