Grey suede ankle boots. A bargain.

Feast your eyes on these little beauties. Aren't they?

I'm not one for January sales. I can't be arsed. I really can't be bothered to fight my way through the crowds, not to mention fighting your way through hoards of clothing, that more often than not ends up on the floor, rather than the rails, with everyone trampling all over it! Please correct me if I'm wrong here but is not just the unwanted, unloved, or mostly summer pieces that are in the sale at this time of year? Perhaps not in every store, but most? I just find most of it's a load of rubbish. That's my opinion anyway, perhaps I'm missing out on the bargain of the century but I can't be bothered. That's on the fashion front anyway. If I was in the market for say, a new TV, then hell yes I too would be out there on Boxing day with my sleeping bag in the early hours to fight for what  is rightly mine!

As I said I don't do sales but I had to pop to our local retail park at the weekend to return something I'd bought for someone at Christmas that didn't fit. I'd done the deed, got a refund and was merrily on my way out of M&S when I noticed these grey boots staring at me from the shelf as I walking right on by. At least try me on they said! Who was I to refuse? Bang, they'd got me. Fitted like a glove and oh so comfortable.  SOLD. Mr C wasn't too sure but he'll come round. Who has to wear them anyway? In all honesty I was a little unsure about the pointy toe thing going on, I've not had a pointy toed shoe for some time, and I forgot how they make your feet look sooo much bigger than they actually are! That aside, I love them and can't wait to wear them, but being suede just maybe not in this miserable rain we're having right now.
Total steal. Reduced from £45 to £20.
M&S, Marks and Spencer, ankle boots, grey suede, footwear
I know a lot of people shop the sales on line, no crowds to fight, no clothes being trodden on, all plus points but online shopping doesn't hold much appeal for me either as I'm a try-er-on-er! I just have to try before I buy because I can't cope with all the hassle of having to send stuff back if it doesn't fit. Having said that I think I am about to make an online purchase thanks to the lovely Deborah over at Bang On Style. Yesterday she tweeted about a cute pink fluffy coat on sale at Misguided that she had just bagged herself. I think I need it in my life. I keep saying 'think' but I know my life would be so much better with this coat in it. I just don't know what size to order!!!! I'll end up ordering one size and have to return it only to find the other size sold out. Is the trick to order both sizes? But then there's that hassle of having to send one back. Doh..... need to think. If you have any top tips for ordering fashion items on line please let me into the secret as I've got to start looking for a party dress for the end of Jan and I know there's more choice online.

Are you a sales shopper? A store shopper? Or an online shopper?

UPDATE: Had to pop back in to tell you I ordered the coat online and it will make an appearance on here as soon as I get it!

  1. Love love love the boots and complete bargain too! Ahh, I do love a bit of sale shopping lol, but only when the stores tidy, I loose interest when it's a mess! The Missguided coat is amazing! I want it!! Not sure about the sizing, check out the size guide on their website? May help and check out their returns policy, I know catalogues usually have free returns... 5. Hi Stephanie, love those boots, the colour looks so good! I know what you mean about the sales, I have done a bit (yes naughty) but mostly online. Love the sound of the pink Missguided coat, I actually find their sizes quite true to size, but I guess your idea to order 2 sizes isnt a bad one, even if it does mean a trip to post office, or waiting in for collection, it must be worth it?! 1. Thanks Helen. It was the colour that got me! They had their first outing yesterday and they are seriously comfy! I've ordered the coat but just the one. I'm could be an 8 or a 10 so I went for the ten as it looked quite roomy. Can't wait for it to arrive and show you. xx
